One More Thing...

My youngest brother Dallin got his mission call....

He is going to the Singapore Malaysia Mission...

And he reports August 17th to the MTC for 9 weeks....

He is going to be the best missionary!

Huntington Beach

There are a few perks to being single...
and one of them is you get to go on fun trips
with a bunch of friends...

So we went to Huntington for the weekend!

Only 8 of us left early Friday morning to head to Hollywood
to go to Universal Studios

but we made a stop at Chipotle.

Did you know you could get a drink, chips, guacamole,
and a mini quesadilla for only like $5?

Well now you know...

Random flying people

Kinda cool except it cost $25 for 10 minutes
and you had to do a 30 minute training session

Nix-A on that A

L-O-V-E them
In the words of friend Katie: "besties"

So we went on this Simpson ride and I
was doing pretty good until this dang one.

I have been feeling EXTREMELY nauseous
the past week or so (got my wisdom teeth
taken out) and this ride did me in.

I felt sick the rest of the day...it was horrible

but still managed to have a lot of fun.

NEVER GO ON THE SIMPSON RIDE
OK?  OK...

Then we met the rest of the crew that same
night at the hotel

and the next morning...headed to the beach.

Free Sprinkles Cupcakes

Erika, Katie, me, Carly, Erica, Heather

A few guys in the group when surfing...

One time a few years ago I tried to surf
and I fell off about 1 second after getting on and it
came up and hit me straight in the head

I haven't attempted since...

I probably should have gotten a little closer
for this one...

A beautiful day...mid 70's, light breeze, tossing around
the football and Frisbee, a little bit
of this, a little bit of that...amazing

Then we headed up to Santa Monica Pier

We ate at this place called Monsoon and it was so good

This is Camille...She now has to attend
every trip I go on

The whole group minus 3 cause they left early

Aren't they cute?  We are missing 3 guys but they left early.

Sorry for the picture overload.

Now we are home to 150 degree weather.

Nice.

Swimming...the only thing to do in Arizona during the Summer

When we were kids my Mom used to always take us to
this place called: Deseret Oasis.  It is actually
just Chandler pool and it is no longer $.25 to get in.

But still fun and not as big as I remember...
but it looks the same.

So my sister takes her kids and I naturally tag along.

Jack...

Kaden...he is basically a better swimmer than me now.

Rachel...large with 4th boy!

Sweet Nixon

This is was the Arizona heat will do to you!

Book #2

For Book Club, we just finished "The Anatomy of Peace" and it was really good.  If the world applied the principles taught in the book to their own lives, the world would be a better and more peaceful place to live.  I need to re-read it again a couple times and apply it to my own life.

Our next read is:

I have heard a lot of good things about this book and as I
was reading the reviews, I knew this had to be the next one.

So I got a Barnes and Noble gift card for my birthday and I
bought it and downloaded it today.

I am excited.  They are making a movie about it too.
See below.

Yay!!!

Babies!!!

I feel like I have been around so many babies lately which is great.  My friend Salena blessed their fourth boy Sunday and now I am wishing I would have gotten a picture.  They make the most beautiful boys.  Seriously.  It is pretty amazing and baby Finnick is pretty darn precious.

And Stacie had her baby...and he must make his first appearance on my blog...

Meet Baby Graham.  He is a miniature Jesse (his dad of course).
He is so cute and he will be getting to know his
Aunt Bekah more and more.
It is fun to see Stacie as a Mom.

And I went to my sister's doctor's appointment with
her today.  She had to see a specialist cause her OB thought
the head measurements were a tad off.
Good news is....baby's head is fine and he is growing perfectly.

How amazing is that!  Looks just like his brothers.
Can't wait to meet him.

And Lena is due at the end of the month with a baby girl.

It is a darn good thing I get discounts at Old Navy and Baby GAP

Long Time

It's been awhile since I last posted.  Since then...
I have gotten a new job, phone, and went on vacation...

I went to Rocky Point a couple weekends ago
with friends and had a blast!  Didn't want
to come home.

Early birthday present...
My mom actually got one too
but my brother Dallin is using it
99% of the time.  We are on a family
plan with Alan and Rachel and its
the only way to go.  Can't
believe how cheap it is that way.

And the schools that my company
was contracted with decided to not
sign our contract at the very end of May.
The Director thought he could save money
by hiring internally which he can... but...
Speech is an expensive service and
when you have 5 campuses and 82 students
on a "Speech Only" caseload,
he will have a very difficulty time
staying within the law
and finding 2 SLP's who will drive
all across the valley.

So I interviewed for a few positions and got offers
but my current boss offered me a position
(kinda far away) but it is only one campus
and a medium size case load and a very substantial
sign on bonus and raise.  It's the perfect
set-up and they only have school
Monday-Thursday so
I get three day weekends every week!
I get my own room and office!

I will just have to bring lots of talks and
books on CD to listen to when
I am not carpooling.

I am very happy and I feel good about this new job.

That's about it.

I turn 26 in 9 days and I
know it's not that old but
I feel younger than 26.
Oh well...as they say...
it's just a number.
