Journal Blogging

So I remembered yesterday randomly about how Lindsee had told me that you can journal your blog. (That is right, right Lindsee?)Which is all blogging is but you can put it on a CD or in a book. I am so happy I remembered because I am usually good about writing in my journal but I could be a heck of a lot better but this way is so much more fun with all the pictures and videos you can do. So I am just warning you ahead of time if my posting becomes rampant. Well that may be a slight over exaggeration. But it's just perfect to go along with my scrapbooking. It's making me think I should go private.

Special Olympics

Waiting for their race
So Jon and Code suggested we go volunteer at the special olympics down at the track fields and I am happy we went. It is so fun to be able to be out among so many special spirits and you can't help but be happy when you are around them. It takes the focus off of yourself and onto others which there is no greater feeling. And we met a 12-year old boy with Down Syndrome named Sam and he was so sticken cute! I couldn't get over it. He ran the long jump for us and came down and chatted with us for a bit and he was cute. I wanted to take him home. And my speech therapist mind gets reeling with the thought that I will very possibly work with those with Down Syndrome and that always makes me happy with the field I have chosen. Anyhow, we had a good time and I wish I would have known about it sooner. Here are a few pictures and videos.

Sam wouldn't take a picture with us

I should have taken more pictures but this is of one of the races.

I have a much better video but it's not posting so I will try again later.

We Are All Here!

I never in a million, trillion years ever thought that my two best friends would be up here in Provo with me. I still can't get over it. I just love it! And it's so great to know that after being apart for a long time (their missions) not one thing has changed between us. It's pretty fantastic!

Puzzles!

So we sort of have this tradition where we do puzzles during the spring and summer. We just all sit around the table, put in the ipod and go at it for at least 2 -3 hours. Last summer we did 12 puzzles and now we just started a New York one that we got Kelli for her birthday. And we thought it was very appropriate since we just got back from there. The puzzle also glows in the dark which is by far the best part! We just love our time together because we talk about absolutely everything and laugh the whole time. I love puzzle nights! And I just love the girls. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank my Heavenly Father for all of them. It's pretty amazing how we have all come together since there are really like 10 of us and how our personalities just match up perfectly. What a blessing!

But first we went and did what we do best, eat out!

What are you wearing?

A really funny thing happened to me yesterday. I hung out with the Linford clan all day and after bowling, we went over to a lady's house where Jeffrey and Jason had to practice for some jazz show. So me, Amy and Jason and Jeffrey get to the house, knock on the door and the mom opens the door. She was super super nice right away but within 30 seconds she says, "who is wearing perfume?" We all look at each other and then I know its me and so I am like, "I think I am the one wearing perfume." And so here I am just thinking she is going to ask me what kind it is and where she can get it. (It's So Pink from Gap in case you are wondering). And then she is like, "well....um I am sorry but you are not going to be able to come inside. My daughter has allergies with perfumes." And then she says how the practice won't be very long. Forty five minutes! Like I am just going to stand outside for 45 minutes! Ya right. But can you blame her of course not. It is her house and her daughter. I should have felt awkward but really it was just so funny. And she felt bad but I had to call a friend back anyways, so it was all good. But it was a moment that I wish you all could have experienced.

Welcome!

Amy has a blog now! We really had a lot of time on our hands yesterday:)

Tag from Ali

3 Joys: The Gospel; being with my family/ close friends; a really good run

3 Fears: marrying the wrong person (which is why you always listen to the spirit!); my cancer relapsing; not being able to have children oh and I know this is a fourth but not being more considerate of other people

3 Goals: get my Masters degree; get married in the temple; finish my scrapbooking--I needed to throw in a less serious one:)

3 current obsessions/ collections: I absolutely love the willow tree figurines you can buy at Desert Book or Seagull book. I want to collect all of them someday; organizing my life--does that count?; my water bottle

3 random facts: I cant stand brushing me teeth with another person in the bathroom. It's like who spits first? And so I would need to look away right? Wierd I know; I have worn the same perfume since my senior year in high school: So Pink from GAP; I really want to name one of my sons Parker. I know its my last night which is why I love it so much. I hope my husband is ok with that:)

I now tag Heather, Julie, Katrina and Rachelle

MCAT Weekend

The MCAT is finally here! Spencer is going to Las Vegas this weekend to take it on Friday. He has been studying like crazy for the past month and he is so ready to take it and get this process of applications over with. I wish I could go with him to Vegas but there is no way with my work and trying to figure out where I would stay. And his brother Aaron is going with him so that is so great. They need some quality brother bonding time and Spencer is really excited that Aaron is able to go. But I am so so so proud of Spencer and I know he will do well. Say an extra prayer for him this weekend ok!

Bowling With The Big Boys

Friday night we all went bowling and it was super fun and it felt great to hang out with the girls but we missed Kelli! Here are some pictures from our night out at Fat Cats. And by the way, I got 2nd the first round and 1st the second round only b/c my brother was bowling with his left hand. But we did split up in 2 groups so luckily I wasn't with Melinda and Haley b/c I would have not done that good:) That would have been way to intense since they are the 2 most competitive girls I have ever known. Everything is a competition for Haley. It's quite entertaining sometimes.

I don't know why it just looks awkward with me holding the bowling ball.

Me and my brother Spencer

All of us and if you want to know why Spencer (my boyfriend not my brother) is being hidden in this picture, ask him.

Home Sweet Home

Mom and Dallin
Kaden obviously finished with his food and now bored.

Spencer and Rachel
Spencer and Kaden

After I got home from New York, I flew straight home to Arizona and I have been there the past 2 weeks. And I didn't do a dang thing! It was such a great break from being sick and work and school and just the stress of it all. Well I did a lot of things but none of it included homework, listening to lectures and clocking in to a job. I hung out a lot with my family and friends and took my brother out to lunch and hung out with Stacie and Amy and watched movies and layed out. It was fantastic. But I have to say it got really really really old talking on the phone with Spencer. It felt way past due to see each other and we were sick of talking on the phone and having it our main form of communication. I don't recommend it:) And I spent a whole day out at my sister's scrapbooking and I was totally in my element. I have really gotten behind with my scrapbooking and it felt good to do 3 pages! Doesn't seem like a lot but it took me almost all day. And Rachel has been collecting stuff for the past 2 years so I felt like I was scrapbooking out of a scrapbooking store. It was amazing. Thanks Rach! And my friend Vai got married so I was able to go to his wedding reception (the video of him singing to his new wife Carissa). And I love anytime I can spend with my Mom. She is the very best person I have ever known. She is simple amazing and it is quite remarkable how much she takes on. I have never known anyone to be able to do what she does on a daily basis. She is the best! But my trip home was successful and so fun.

Lunch with Judy

My mom and I went out to lunch with Judy Worthen the other day and had a great time. She has always been such a strong person and a great friend and example. We chatted about just everything: Danny on his mission, Hil on her's, my cute boyfriend, work, schools, families, church...It was great. Love ya Judy! Lets not wait to long to do it again.

My Awesome Sister

I was able to spend a lot of time with my sister Rachel while I was home in Mesa these past couple of weeks. She is such a great mom and has so much patience especially with her oldest Kaden. And I have to say she has become quite the cook. And we have so much fun together and can just laugh and feed off of eachother's jokes which is always great. I love her a lot and am grateful for the example she has been and the person and mom and wife she has become! Love you Rach!

Spencer's Birthday!

My mom bought this birthday cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory. It was delicious and poor Spencer didn't even get seconds of his own cake because we were all a little selfish with this one.

Birthday boy!

My Mom in the middle of singing. She really got into it:)

Happy Birthday Spencer! His birthday landed on Mother's day and he was a good sport about sharing the day with Mom and not having all the attention focused on him. He turns his papers in next week so he should be getting his call by the end of the month. Yay! I can't wait to see where the gets called. I am so proud of you Spence. You are such a great brother with such a big heart. I love you and am so proud of you!

Baby Jackson

Here is a video of Baby Jack trying to smile. He is super cute!
