Conference Weekend

Spencer and I went to conference both Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning with his brother Aaron and his wife Haley. It was so fun and I just love conference! It was strange not having President Hinckley there but how wonderful it is to know that we still have a living prophet.. What a blessing to live in a time where we have living apostles and prophets! I really enjoyed President Monson's address during Sunday morning and how all the apostles gave their witness of his call as our new prophet.

I really loved Elder Holland's talk because recently I have been conversing with a man who publishes anti Mormonism literature on the Internet and one day I stumbled upon his website and emailed him to only correct his mistakes. Well this went on for about a week and then he emailed me about Revelations and how it says that nothing should be added to this book. And that is solely what Elder Holland talked about. I couldn't believe it! What an answer to my frustrations with this man who is so misled and too stubborn to see and hear the truth. I had emailed this man back about a couple of weeks before conference after talking to my super smart boyfriend and he had given me the complete background of the Book of Revelation. But anyhow, what an answer to my prayers! The church is true!

Easter Weekend

It was quite the weekend I am here to tell you. Spencer and I drove down to Arizona early Friday morning and it took us about 10 hours with the time change. It actually went by rather quickly and the drive isn't bad when you are with someone you like. We pulled into Mesa around 3:30pm and then drove out to my sister's house in Queen Creek. Amy came out with us and she is still as funny as ever. We played games and ate pizza and my new nephew Jackson is adorable. I forget how small they really are at that age. Spencer and I were really exhausted from the drive so we headed back to my parent's home fairly early. But Saturday my brother Dallin got a bunch of his friends together to play basketball down at the church and Spencer played a long with them. Thank goodness he is athletic or I don't know what I would do. He won Dallin over just for that. They played like 10 games not joking and Stacie came along with us to watch. That night we went to the Easter Pageant at the temple and it was amazing like always and it sure brings back a lot of memories of YW/YM mutual nights. And of course the temple is just beautiful. But we had a good time and I just love this time of year at home. The weather is perfect!
Sunday we went to my church and poor Spencer had to shake about 100 hands but he was good sport and its always fun to be back in your home ward. We then went to Lena's homecoming talk and she did an incredible job. She sang "His Hands" and I cried and my mom started crying before Lena even started. Lena looks great and is the same and you can tell she served a great mission. We then ate easter dinner and left shortly after to get back to Provo at a decent time. But the drive ended up taking about 12 hours and we pulled in around 5am. WE WERE EXHAUSTED! And poor Spencer drove in silence while I fell asleep from about Page to Beaver. I couldn't stay awake but luckily he like an owl when it comes to staying awake at night. He is such a trooper.
But I will have to say overall, the trip was a success and my family really likes Spencer. He practically had them eating out of the palm of his hand. Well...I wouldn't go that far but it was a great trip home!

Crazy Weekend

Ok let me paraphrase this first story by saying that I am dating one of the smartest boys I know. It kills me sometimes. Just remember that!

But anyhow, Saturday was a really busy day. And around 4pm we met up with Spencer's brother Jed and his wife Marcie and their two boys, Scott and Tyler, his other brother Aaron and his Grandma in Payson. On our way to Payson, we realized that we were short on gas but were in such a hurry because we were already running late. So we went to dinner at some place called Dalton's and it was good. And Spencer (so far :)) has such a cute family. Well we then left and hurried back to Provo to make it to the adult session of his stake conference but we were still about 10 minutes later getting back from Payson. But the session was awesome and the stake presidency said a lot of great things about getting your education and managing your money wisely and it was very applicable and much needed. So we got out of conference and then decided to meet up with Spencer's roommates at Chilis (now remember we still have not filled up on gas.) So Spencer picks me up and we start heading down University Parkway both not remembering that we have no gas. So as we start driving up the hill right before State Street, the car starts to slow down and there is no way we are going to make it up this hill. And then it hits me, "We have no gas!"

And so then in the middle of the street, Spencer has to push his car while I steer it around the corner and into a Maverick. Now the Lord does not bless stupidity but I like to believe that since we were good and went to the adult session, we were blessed with a gas station nearby. So then we pull into Maverick and Spencer yells to me that the gas tank is on the left side. But of course I am concentrating on steering his car (it was quite a difficult steering wheel), that I pull in on the RIGHT side. And Spencer the patient boy that he is, doesn't get upset with me but we then have to do a 3 point turn to pull in on the LEFT side. And thank you to some kind man named Paul and a rather large Samoan man. It was so funny to me. But Spencer didn't find it quite as funny but he did such a good job pushing even though I was retarted and pulled in on the wrong side. I know it is pathetic that we ran out of gas, but my only excuse is we were in such a hurry everywhere, we forgot. And we all know that everyone at one point pushes as far as they can when the gas light comes on just to see how far they can go before they have to fill up. But remember that Spencer Pierson is one of the smartest people you will ever meet. If you ever meet him; which I hope you all do.

NOw for my second story:

So as I stated previously, we met up with Spencer's roommates for dinner at Chilis. So we are sitting around the table eating when some girl comes up to the table and asks if any of us speak Spanish because I guess her brother is in a hospital in Mexico but that is besides the point. So regretfully all the boys say no because I guess they thought she was cute. And so then we get talking about what guys/girls first notice when they see an attractive guy/girl. And the guys asked me if I ever notice a boys rear end (butt, bottom....whatever you want to call it) and I said yes I think so. And then Jon (Spencer's roommate) goes on to say that he thinks he has a nice butt (jokingly...I hope) and then Kasey (Spencer's other roommate) pipes in and agrees. AND THEN I PIPE IN AND SAY "YA I THINK YOU DO TOO!" I dont' know where it came from but I just said it and I wish everyone could have seen the expressions on these boys faces. It was one of those "want to get away" commercials. Here I am with my boyfriend commenting on how I think his roommate has nice butt. I couldn't believe I had just said that. And I will 100% honest in saying that I have NEVER EVER looked at Jon's bottom but he sat right in front of us at Stake Conference and when he stood up in his dress pants I noticed. I am sorry! I am only human! But I didn't think anything of it again. Until I opened my big mouth. Once again, I am grateful I am dating a boy who is patient with me and realizes it was a big mistake on my part. Girls---NEVER COMMENT ON YOUR BOYFRIEND/HUSBAND'S FRIENDS BODY...WELL YOU GET THE POINT! But of course you all know that already but I need to be reminded.

This Whole Tagging Game

I was tagged by my cousin Katrina and so here it is:

1. Where was I 10 years ago: that would put me at 12 and so what is that 6th/ 7th grade? So either way I was at Franklin and I had a HUGE crush on Landon Kempton. In fact, he was in 8th grade and everyday we would wait in the same spot for our Moms to pick us up from school and I wanted to talk to him so bad but never had the nerve. And so for like 4 months my mom and I would come up with plans to talk to him and so finally after about a million attempts I did and....he was so BORING! Never just go for looks girls!

2. 5 things on my TO DO list:
-Get the crack in windshield filled
-Write Hilary Worthen and my aunt and uncle
-practice the piano arrangement I am playing on Sunday
-HOMEWORK (does this count)
-HOMEWORK

3. Things I would do if I became a billionaire:
-pay off my parents house and buy them a new one
- pay for all of the college for my siblings
- donate to cancer foundations and the church
-travel; it would be fun to go to every temple in the world
-buy Target or Pottery Barn or something like that
-start a Lymphoma foundation
-There is Alot I would do!

4. Three of my bad habits:
1. I am an impulse buyer and I need to work on that
2. I sometimes burp (I dont like that word but I can't think of another) and I never know its coming so I justify it that way but it's not a good thing. My mom always tells me that I better not do that at my mother-in-laws
3. I say crap alot oh
4. I can be bossy and demanding sometimes but I am working on that and that is 4 instead of 3:)

5. Five places I have lived: SLC, UT; West Jordan, UT; Mesa, AZ; Provo, UT; so only 4 places
